Tender pieces of chicken soaked in a creamy, buttery and mildly spicy sauce served with fragrant Basmati rice and flaky home-made char grilled rotis. Peas and butternut in the recipe make it all that much better.

• Dish Food & Social 3.00-6.00 pm (423 Main Road, Observatory)

Delivery (additional charge):

• Orders for delivery close at 3.30pm on Monday, and are made between 12.00-4.00pm
  on Tuesday

This whole experience can be taken up a notch by ordering a dessert for R50. This weeks its malva pudding with Creme Anglaise.

While you are there, check what other delectable goodies they have on offer in the Dish Food Market. Their pantry section has marvelous things like proper red wine jus (if you don’t have the time to make your own at your next dinner party), or Spanish smoked paprika and chermoulah marinade. These components can just make your life so much easier.

Did I mention the flaky and soft char blistered roti’s? I may just have to beg Andrea Foulkes for this recipe for the rest of my life.
