confusing diet experts

July 22, 2011 in Uncategorized

This morning on the tv they go all out about how the raw diet is the new thing and we should not eat meat since it is so unhealthy and not good for us. Then we get into the car and listen to the radio. Then they start telling us that we should steer clear of carbohydrates and only eat proteins. Now hearing this after I just told my hubby that we are going to have 2 meat free evenings a week so we can be healthier leaves me in a state of confusion.

Do these health and diet experts know how difficult they make it to live healthy with all their conflicting messages. It is so much easier to just drive to the closest drive thought and order me a big mac. No, but seriously I think in the end I must decide to just do what works for me, trying to include more fruit and veggies, limiting my portion sizes and switch the channel when a diet expert come on Wink .

  1. I agree, such conflicting advice………..how must one know what to avoid.

I think a balanced diet (using your own logical mind) – comprising raw and cooked veggies, fruit, meat, carbohydrates and limited fats – is the answer. Remember dieticians also need to make their money, although they give conflicting advice – so in the end – YOU make the decisions.
