Let’s Ketchup …
January 26, 2011 in Sauces & side dishes
Hectic is too mild to describe my life since I last did a post. Crazy is more apt. Before we do a quick ketchup, hope you had a rocking time in December, wishing you a fantabulous and spectacular 2011, that you have normal bank balances again and that those eh, those new year resolutions are still in place. With January almost done, I shudder to think that some people are in fact already thinking of the next festive season … only 11 months left, Bokkies, so get those menus, bookings and arrangements on to your to-do-list!!
Anyway, still squatting with Ya Ya Sister in Hermanus. Soon I will have the ocupation date of my flat-with-a-view in Strand (will be around March end or April beginning) and then the big schlepp and trek will begin all over again. Luckily I did not pack the whole house, just a room or two so the work will be manageable. And luckily she has not yet started with the BS about mis-informed health and fad diets but …… ta da! She has discovered – 30 years down the line - candida! And she is still onto the toxic metals in our blood. She attacked my head yesterday with a small scissors and took a hair sample which she poste hasted off to some or other pathologists to test for heavy metals in my blood. She did not understand my mumbling about Jethro Tull or Uriah Heap… and all other sustances in my blood from those years … do they linger so long?? Will keep you posted as to what was discovered in my blood …
Now, about “work”. The craziness was caused by work – sheer beautiful delicious volumes and volumes of work! We completed the shooting of the video clips for the cookery website and now we are going into the design and programming stage of the I Love Cooking Website. The launch will be soon and yes, I will keep you posted. Then, I am working on a full-lenght movie script, some new television ads for a toy store, a coffee table book about the 25 years of Bakers Mini Circket (go figure – where is the food?) and getting ready for the teenage challenge series for television which is to go on air 6th of August!
It may be a good idea to suscribe to my blog if you like it so that you may be alerted by email when I post an entry. i may not be able to do so every day this year as i did last year. I’ll try, but as we all know, the road-to-you-know-where is always paved with good intentions…!
About ketchup for real: lately we get amazingly aromatic, delicious organic tomatoes at our local farm stall. I am completely adicted to them and if you ask me, I can now give you 2391 recipes for tomatoes! Here is my latest flavour of the month: home-made ketchup to be used in, over, under and on top of any savoury food you can think of. Enjoy!
