I’m still here …

May 7, 2010 in Uncategorized

Hallo everyone!  I’m so sorry about my loooong absence here in blogland – however I never stopped reading all of your wonderful blogs (and commented here and there!)  I can’t believe that it is more than a month since I last posted something.

So the reason for me being missing in action is that I can’t really stomach food at the moment due to morning (noon and evening!) sickness!  Yes – I’m almost 10 weeks pregnant!

It’s taking me a while to get used to the idea – I forgot everything about pregnancies and all the symptoms associated with it.  Especially the nausea!  Sjoe – it’s way different this time round – but I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel as the first trimester is almost over and out!  I also can’t wait to have a big juicy steak again (can’t face red meat at the moment!)  And of course to be blogging about food again – I hardly cook anything nowadays – so I’ll have to make up soon!

Little one is so excited – she is a real little mother and she can’t wait to help mommy with the new baby!  She is turning 7 next week (I can’t believe it!)

I want to wish all the mothers out there a very happy Mothers day for Sunday.  I hope all of you get spoiled rotten!

Hierdie is vir my ma!

A Precious Mother

Mom you’ve given me so much
love from your heart
and the warmth of your touch,
the gift of life and you’re a friend to me.
We have a very Special Bond
which only comes from God…
I’m sure you agree.
As a child I would say Mommy I Love you
now you’re my Mother so dear
I love you even more
with each and every New Year.
If I could had chosen,
I would have picked no other
than for you…to be my lifelong friend
and Precious Mother.
