Good morning!
June 2, 2010 in Uncategorized
Good morning everyone! I can hardly believe that we are in the middle of the year already – it’s crazy how fast these last couple of months went by. Winter has also arrived in all it’s glory here in Gauteng. IT IS FREEZING – especially in the mornings and evenings.
Sorry – this is still not a food post – soon, very soon …
I’m starting to feel my old self again – slowly but surely. Some afternoons the little nausea monster sneaks up on me – but luckily it doesn’t last too long. I ‘m so glad! Otherwise everything is going well – thanks to everyone that wanted to know how I’m doing. I do appreciate it! I went for my 12 week check up last week – and I must say I’m starting to get excited now. I could see the little body wiggle and it was so cute! Best of all is that with nowadays technology I can watch it over again because the scan gets recorded on a DVD nogal! I suppose I can start buying a little something now for “boontjie”!
Food wise – not so good! In the first few weeks when I was feeling awfully ill I had way too much chicken to eat (it was the only protein I could face!) Now I can’t even face the tiniest piece of chicken – I’ll faint! I can eat canned tuna, fish, pasta, bacon, potatoes and sandwiches! And fruit and veggies of course! I’m only starting to eat chocolate again now – I couldn’t even face that! Shocking I know! Oh and I used to love garlic – but not now! I am looking forward to lunch today – bacon and avo sarmie!
I will keep you all updated! Thanks so much for caring and for all your love!
Big hugs
Minnie

Hallo – ag dankie! Moet sê ek voel regtig baie beter – ek is so bly! Lunch was yummy!
Ek dink ons almal raak nou opgewonde – en natuurlik raak ek bietjie nervous ook (ek het nog niks begin koop nie en ek het die meerderheid van my baba goed weggegee!) Maar nou ja – sal maar net kalm bly!
Lekker werk verder! xxx

Moet nie kommer! Daar nog heelwat tyd oor! Dink mens koop meeste goodies as mens weet of die seuntjie of dogtertjie is!

Oh Minnie, I didn’t know you were pregnant too, congratulations, that’s wonderful news!!!

Oh and I couldn’t face meat for a very long time as well… could hardly cook it for hubby and he had to take over the cooking many a times while I ran to the loo. Hope it passes for you soon, I could only stomach red meat again in small quantities around 24 weeks

Thanks darling! Sjoe – ja this story with meat is so difficult – especially when you need to cook for a family! Nowadays it’s two seperate meals being made every night – crazy! Take care! xxx

Spot on! 18 weeks this week! I feel like my old self dear Brownie – I’m so glad that awful nausea is gone now (and long forgotten!) I’m craving all things spicy (poor little boontjie!) but luckily there is no heartburn yet!
We want to know – so hopefully in 2 weeks time we’ll be able to see (then I’m going for the big 20 week scan) I will keep you updated! Thanks so much for popping in!
Enjoy your week! xxx
