GLORIOUS WEATHER & WEEKEND MARKET REPORT
February 1, 2009 in Uncategorized
So blogland, I am happy to report that
Anyhooo, yesterday Mr Moo and I took ourselves off to THE TRIANGLE SQUARE MARKET that opened up in Fish Hoek just after New Year. We were quite impressed. There was a really nice buzz about the place, plenty shoppers, lots of bums on chairs enjoying coffee or healthy smoothies & a bite of breakfast or brunch, kids were playing in the kiddie area, some folk were swooning from sheer bliss while having 10 minute neck & shoulder massages………..hmmmm browniegirl eyeballed that lot longingly & thought YESSSS!!! Chatted to a couple of the stall holders & found all of them very approachable & knowledgeable about their products. Tasted some yummy, almost sinless, FAT FREE chocolate sauce made by a guy called Andrew who hails from Simon’s Town & who was very friendly and helpful. He runs a little business called Andrew’s Pantry & supplies lots of goodies & also does catering for private functions
There were lots of things to taste and sample. In fact we didn’t have to buy any brunch hehe. Bought some delicious olive breadsticks from Knead bakery, some yummy Dalewood Brie Cheese, gorgeous plums and big mushrooms from Rodgers Fruiterers, yummy Cabanossi for hubs, I tasted the chorizo at the same stall & will definitely buy some of that. Also tasted lots of really yummy chilli sauces and olive products….delissshy brownies…..hmmm, bought some smoked snoek that I made into a rather delish pate that we demolished as part of our al fresco supper last night. Also bought a chicken chapatti for myself for lunch and a beef one for hubs, from Mary the industrious Chapati lady from Muizenberg, which we really enjoyed. Bumped into some friends (quite a few actually hehe) and planted our bums down for one of those lovely smelling cuppa’s & a catch-up chat while doing a bit of people watching. I love to do that, I can get quite lost in my own little world watching the world go by!! I could go on & on…….suffice to say we thought it worthy of more Saturday morning jaunts & will be going back again
) Someone there told us that they already have plans to take out the one wall & make it bigger……always a good sign.
is situated on

And I will end off on this note……..found this on the wall at the market and thought it lovely……..
Have a delicious week everybody, take good care of yourselves & your loved ones, make time for love & laughter, hugs & smiles (you never know who is going to need one of these desperately), make special times with friends, touch base, ask how they are….then really listen when they tell you…look into their eyes….there is so much pain & suffering out there……& this is 2000 & SHINE after all!! Let’s do it!!!

PS Please all pray special prayers for Trinity ’s husband Neo who was hit by a car while riding his bicycle early on Saturday morning. He has broken C7, one of the cervical vertebrae in his neck & also sustained quite bad leg and knee injuries. Loving thoughts and prayers are with you Trin, Neo & the boys at this difficult time. Hope his injuries heal quickly & fully!!! Luvvies xxx
