BLACK GOLD
October 8, 2009 in Uncategorized
Good day blogland…hope you are all having a good week so far…and to those of my young readers who returned to school this week….give it your all. It’s the last term of the year and tis almost the weekend baby!!! It’s been a busy week here in brownieville (hehe….farmville seems to be taking over facebook so I reckon brownieville can do it here…). Brownieboy started his aqua therapy sessions yesterday….45 minutes of intense therapy with his physiotherapist in deliciously warm water….he says he is aware of every muscle in his body today but it feels good. And Ty is practising like crazy for his pre-school cycle race on Saturday….his fairy wheels came off yesterday and he is flying on two wheels and loving it hehe. He didn’t think he could do it but after some convincing from Nana he was ready to go. I am so proud of that boy!! Will go see him pratice on the sports field just now and take a pic or two….before that gotta take BB to the mall to get him a new pair of decent trainers. He has a lot of walking to catch up on
)
When you are a foodie blogger and into foodie stuff you tend to forget sometimes that a lot of your regular readers are not foodies yet very interested in what you do in your kitchen with your food and they don’t know ingredients and methods/terminology that you might be using on a regular basis. For this I do apologize. I had a few comments after my last post asking what Black Gold is……so for those who are curious, here is my explanation!!
“Black Gold” is a deliciously smooth intense Balsamic Reduction manufactured by ab products in SA. You can add it to anything from slap chips to tropical fruit and berries
) I love it. It changes the flavour of just anything from blah to sublime….. I also use their “Mediterrano” to drizzle onto my salads. And of course the “Sweet Fire” which is a fiery zesty chilli sauce is sublime if you are into the hot stuff
) Take a look at their website at ab-products for more information on their yummy products.
End of lesson…now go forth, taste and get yourself some to try!!
Enjoy,
browniegirl xxx

Ooh, off to buy some!
No such fancy stuff to be found.
Nope, wait, this is the Free State. There are some drawbacks to living here
I wonder if hubby will mind looking for it in Pta…
Have a wonderful day!

Are these available in all stores or only special ones?
The Black Gold sounds like a worthwhile buy.

Thanks browniegirl, I suspected that it might be a balsamic reduction but I had not heard of the name Black Gold before. I use the Woolies Balsamic Glaze quite a lot and its good but will look out for Black Gold when shopping.
