Battered again – seeing stars

The addition of cocoa powder and chocolate nesquik to the
store-bought pancake mix made for interesting breakfast crumpets. I
used these really nifty shapers from Woolworths to make the star
patterns.
Here you see them stacked with strawberries that were warmed in a
pan along with sugar and basil, until they were all soft and syrupy.
Serve dusted with sugar and cinnamon.
