I recently went on a weekend getaway (I prefer to call it a city detox) to Hermanus.  This has been my second visit to this gem of a town.  The first time I just had this amazing cocktail lunch overlooking the ocean but promised myself to visit again and explore….

Hermanus is mostly known for whale watching….but the whale season begins only later in the year.   However, there’s plenty to explore and mostly it’s good for a quiet relaxed weekend away from the city buzz.  The small town has no shortage of coffee shops, restaurants and some interesting boutique shops.  Amongst the interesting range of restaurants one that caught my attention is Annie se Kombuis….A traditional South African food restaurant.  Read more…..
