THIS POST IS BROUGHT TO YOU WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF THE GUYS WHO HELP MAKE SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL KITCHENS IN THE COUNTRY!! PLEASE SUPPORT MY SPONSERS.
On Tuesday morning just after I have dropped off the kiddos, I headed for Kalk Bay to have breakfast with our own Browniegirl.

I was so excited ……to have a trip like that in the middle of the week, was just glorious and of course Kalk Bay is just in my opinion one of the most beautiful place here in Cape Town……
As you all know by now Brownie girl has exciting plans up her sleeve for April this year. Yes, she is planning a Blogger’s Conference and it all sounds most exciting. I amsure, once we have secured a venue and other details you will be the first to know…..
We had our “meeting” at Cafe Olympia which you should all know by now is Sardines on Toast’s regular hangout when he comes to Cape Town for a break……..

On my way back, G took me round the corner to Cafe Olympia’s Bakery and I had to stock up on a few ciabattas and lunch for hubs……. The ciabatta became last night’s supper and hubby LOVED his lunch, especially the Brownie for dessert.

Now on to the Pea Pesto…..
Ingredients
2 cups frozen peas – blanched for 4 minutes
2 cloves garlic
1 chili
salt/pepper
fresh basil and mint – I would say about 1 handful
zest and juice of a lemon
2 handfuls freshly grated parmesan cheese
salt/pepper.
Drain the peas and cool in ice water to retain the color. P lace all the ingredients in your food processor and blitz until you have the acquired consistency….we like it coarse…. Spread on toasted ciabatta and finish off with Parmesan shavings, a drizzle of oil and some crushed black pepper……Delish!!!

Please do not miss the opportunity to see the most beautiful floors I have ever seen……...
