Recipe for an old fashioned berry punch
January 12, 2013 in Drinks, Fruit
With the Golden Globe awards happening on Monday night, my children decided to combine watching the awards with a Bingo game night. I decided to make a punch for their drinking game.
This reminded me of something that happened years ago. My brother and sister are both much older than me with the result that their children are more like siblings to me. One Christmas my brother and sister-in-law bought my mother this beautiful punch bowl with 12 cups that could hang on the side. The punch bowl was used for the first time on New Year’s Day. The children were given strict instructions not to touch the punch as it contained alcohol. My mother soon started complaining and said that she thinks one or some of the children are drinking the punch because it was consumed at an alarming rate and some of it was messed on her tablecloth. She stood watch over the punch to discover that the punch bowl was leaking. It had a small little round hole in it! She was very disappointed with her beautiful punch bowl but at the same time relieved that none of the children drank the punch.
My daughter who blogs at shrewdtennis.com did a guest post on my blog. For the guest post and the punch recipe please go to PinkPolkaDotFood
