Shin Thai Birthday (or Plenty of Sake)

June 1, 2011 in Uncategorized

Lunch at Fish Hoek’s quirky pan-Asian eatery, Shin Thai, is always a happy affair – even more so if it’s a birthday celebration with plenty of sake.

Chicken satay to start with…

…followed by vegetable spring rolls – crunchy and not too oily.

Mains of Peking Duck with hoisin sauce, spring onions and pancakes – a classic.

Duck stir-fry with generous helpings of fresh chilli, and lots of crunchy mange tout and bean sprouts.

And adding some Japanese into the mix, plenty of Hakutsuru, served warm.

Yes, they’re open (except on Mondays, I think).
