Bits and Pieces!
July 1, 2010 in Uncategorized
Hallo’s
*whisper* its a bit quieter at work today (touch wood!!!).. so will try and catch up on a bit of blogging today (seeing as the food blogs are just short of standing still – where did everybody go????)
I made these a while back (think pre-soccer!)… Excuse the ‘non specific’ ingredients and dodgy pics!
Home Made Pizza:
2 x Prepack Pizza Bases
Mushrooms
Garlic
Smoked Chicken
Sweet Chilly Sauce
Feta
And lots and lots of Mozarella
- Top the pizza with your topping (Minus the cheese) and bake in the oven for approx 15 min on 180′C
- Top with Cheese and bake a further 5min (or grill) until the cheese is all melted and bubbly…
*yes I know, fresh home made base would be ever better!!*

TIP: Use any extra Smoked Chicken for Sandwiches the next day! And of cause dont forget to give the cat a happie too!
Weekend Breakfast
Fried eggs
Pork Sausages (topped with a spoon or so of onion marmelade)
Grilled Tomatoes (with garlic, olive oil and balsamic vinegar)
Toast (on the side!)
*need I say more??? *
I can totally do a breakfast like this today…
*Ill be back with the Savoury Tart for Inspiration a bit later today*
Happy Thursday!!!!

We have a dude who delivers 5 x fresh bases for R35 (better – and cheaper – than homemade LOL). Daisy once told me to never grate the cheese for a pizza. Best advice I ever got. Little Madam snips little chuncks for me with the kitchen scissors and it melts beautifully.

I maar grate the cheese, since the mozarella isnt the real creamy one…i like the little mozarella balls you get, but they are hard to find in my valley! But will try it chunky next time – thanks!
How is things in the *justme* household?

Very yum indeed!
Plain chicken can be so bland, the smokeyness lifts it into the next dimension!

glad you’re back, now that you’re done hob-knobbing with the rich and famous, lol! the food looks wonderful…..you’re making me hungry!!!!!!
chantellebeyers said on July 1, 2010
Mr JustMe also does the dishes, but only from Monday – Thursday and maybe on a Sunday if the in-laws have been around. Friday nights are pizza nights though, so I let OAB snip *JustMe wonders if OAB will be able to do this when she gets back!!!* Her arm seems fine, thanks. When we spoke to her last night she never complained, so it must be fine. Her cast comes off on around the 19th or so.

Ek self kan doen met ‘n ou happie of 2 nou!
Is so effe stiller hier, bietjie kans om asem te haal en papierwerk op datum kry.
Bly jy te besig – wanner sien ons jou weer hierso??

i like pizza but i don’t know how to prepare it.
sharonsmit said on July 15, 2010
Hi Lydia! Easiest (to me anyways), start off with store bought Pizza Basis with tomato. Top with whatever you feel like, and loads of cheese, and follow the packet instructions! From there, next you might want to try and make your own pizza base (Potjie on the food blogs has a recipe – check his blog!) Goodluck!
snuamah said on July 15, 2010
thank you.
