Biltong Dust Pate

This is definitely one for the guys, Himself gave it the thumbs up! Remember the Biltong Dust I got from my friendly butcher? I found this recipe lurking on various web sites and have adapted it slightly.
100g mushrooms chopped
1/2 small onion finely chopped
50g biltong dust (or grated biltong)
125g cream cheese
garlic chives (optional)
a good grind of black pepper
In a frying pan, melt the butter and add the chopped onion and fry gently for a couple of minutes, when softened add the mushrooms and cook through. While this is cooking whip the cream lightly.
Using a food processor, put the mixture and all the other ingredients and buzz. I didn’t take it too fine as I wanted a chunky pate. If you don’t have a processor, just chop your mushrooms finer and mash everything with a fork.
Put in the fridge to firm.
