Smoked Sausage Salad Platter
November 18, 2011 in Uncategorized
Well, it certainly doesn’t look like braai weather here in KZN this weekend (heavy rain forecast, thank goodness, it’s very dry at the moment, as the spring rains have just not really arrived with any meaning).
But it might be worth making a small fire to smoke some sausages, my new favourite way to cook sausages.
And seeing as the weather is quite warm and humid, I’ll use the sausages for a salad platter.
I got this idea from Sam at Drizzle and Dip, but I smoked my sausages over the braai-fire (of course). It works just as well on the stove-top, too.
Please go to Fired Up Cooking SA for the method for smoking the sausages and making the salad platter (or click on the photos).
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

I got the wood chips at Builders Express, but Cascades Checkers had them too
It is so easy to smoke sausages, you gotta try it, Sue!

Oh my word Z this looks so good – I can just tuck in right now! This is such a nice idea for a starter when you braai. We’ve got one of those stainless steel smokers but haven’t used it in ages – must make a plan! Have a great weekend! Big hugs xxx
